Through this, we hope to record and archive the stories and memoirs of people that are or have been associated with Karachi’s old town. We call it Ghair Sarkari, which loosely translates into state-less; because we want an archive that will remember and preserve the stories of the people who lived through different changing eras of the area, moving away from relying on the history that is written by the victors.
