Marvi Mazhar graduated from the Indus Valley School of Architecture (IVSAA) in 2009. 2015 served as Director at PeaceNiche (T2F), and is the co-founder of (ADRL) The Architectural Design Research Lab, housed within, and affiliated with, the Department of Architecture at the Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture- a research laboratory devoted to projects within the fields of architecture and urban design.

In 2016, Mazhar founded Pakistan Chowk Community Centre and became an appointed member of the Lahore Conservation Society, Karachi Biennale 2017 (Outreach Committee), Secretary to South Asia Foundation (SAF-Pakistan) & ICCOMOS. She was the Project Manager of National History Museum (Lahore, Pakistan), conceptualized by The Citizens Archive of Pakistan.

In 2018 she has been appointed as adviser to the Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, and National History & Literary Heritage Division.

Shaheen Nauman

Field Researcher & Guide to Heritage Walk Karachi

Shaheen Nauman started working for Pakistan Chowk Community Centre at the age of 62. She is the Project Coordinator and Heritage Advocate for Heritage Walk Karachi (HWK), a project of Pakistan Chowk Community Center (PCCC). Nauman serves as the guide to HWK, showing an assortment of people their way around Old Town Karachi. She is also involved in the visual documentation and research of various parts of the city; a task she completes through photography and interviews.

In addition to this, Nauman manages the social media pages of HWK on Facebook and Instagram and also handles the logistics of the project. She assists various academics and scholars with their research using her vast knowledge of the city. And collects and liberates various heritage artifacts from their imminent destruction. 

VISHaL CHANDU SINGHARA

Field COORDINATOR & LOGISTICS MANAGER

Vishal Chandhu Singhara is the field coordinator and logistics manager for Heritage Walk Karachi (HKW). In the weekday Vishal works for Sindh Government’s Minority Affairs Department.

In his free time he’s a content creator on TikTok and freelances as a photographer.
